The Viagra Generation
The search for the perfect aphrodisiac and the desire to improve sexual performance and sexual pleasure are as old as time itself. The term aphrodisiac comes from Aphrodite The Greek Goddess of sexual love and beauty. Some of the earliest published recipes can be found in the karma sutra (4,000 BC). When Viagra was launched in 1998 it was very quickly hailed the ultimate aphrodisiac – never before had a remedy become so accepted by mainstream medical practice or such a commercial success.
Viagra is now available as a prescription drug in 110 countries to treat impotence or ‘male erectile dysfunction’, as it is known in the medical world. Five years on and every second, nine of these small blue pills were dispensed legally around the world. The Viagra Generation is an up to the minute investigation into the penetration of Viagra and its clones.
