Presented by Russell Brown, Media3 sees intelligent discussions about media matters with the people who produce media in New Zealand - and the people who find themselves the subject of media stories.By having a media review programme, kiwis have the opportunity to see, behind the scenes, how the media works and why certain topics get coverage while others disappear under the radar.
The media's role in a democracy is to hold politicians, bureaucrats and the movers and shakers of society to account. Our job is to examine and analyse how well they that job.
We are the only programme on television that regularly interviews editors, journalists, reporters, cartoonists and commentators and holds them to account for their work.
It is also a unique vehicle for humour, satire and some pithy observations of the shortcomings and foibles of some well known and important public figures.
